Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the only one meant for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to obtain john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to change the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special stipulations on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME universal TLD is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your local language.
